Aboard USS Bennington CVS 20 off the coast of Vietnam 1968. Although I mustered a smile, I wasn't a happy camper, having only been married 3 1/2 weeks then received orders to this birdfarm already in Pearl Harbor loading ammo for duty off the coast of Vietnam. "Yankee Station":
About 23 years later, this is Aaron, our youngest son, about 18 yrs old, Marshall, Texas in about 1991. Once again, I was away from home at sea. This time as a civilian in the Navy's Military Sealift Command. I turned 50 years old in the combat zone of Desert Storm, serving aboard USNS Henry J. Kaiser T-AO 187:
Charlotte E. (Crowell) Sneed. Taken while she was still in nursing school in Beaumont, Texas. Humm. She's still a peach on the beach even at 68 yrs old now (Jan 09)
